Ever wonder how to embed Sinhala or any other Indic Languages (Tamil, Hindi) into a video. Here are 10 simple steps for doing that
You need following software in order to do that
- VirtualDub (download from here).
- TextSub plugin for VirtualDub (download from here)
- VOBSUB (download from here)
1. Install VOBSUB
2. Extract VirtualDub and copy TextSub plugin (textsub.vdf) to plugins folder in VirtualDub
3. Open VirtualDub and Open your video file from the File menu
4. Select Videos -> Filters from the menu
5. Click on Add button
6. select TextSub 2.23
7. Click on Open Button and choose your Subtitle file and Click OK
Now you can preview subtitles as following
8. Go to Video compression and select ‘ DivX Codec <version> (4 Logical CPUs) and Click ok
9. Select File -> Save as and Save it as a new AVI file
10. That’s It
